Winnebago Motor Home - 2855 Alpine - Sold 4124

Stock No: 4124

As frosty winds blow off the southern slopes and Southern Ocean, this Winnebago Alpine 2855 motor home should be heading north for the winter with you aboard. The name could also refer to the fact that it represents the height of luxury and has mountains of features.

At its heart is an Isuzu NPR350 chassis that’s clocked a mere 61,600 kilometres. With auto transmission perfectly mated to the intercooled turbo diesel it’s a breeze to drive.

Vehicle comforts include power steering, air-conditioning, central locking, power windows, bull bar and towbar.

For a 2004 model, the quality of the cabinetry has to be seen to be appreciated. The pale timbers perfectly complement the muted green tones of the upholstery to create a calm, serene atmosphere.

You feel immediately at home when you step inside as the layout is divided into distinct living areas.

Starting at the back, the master bedroom has an island double bed surrounded by neatly framed windows, through which muted light flows. The flooring is carpeted here, so it feels warm yet airy.

Through a dividing door, close enough to serve as an ensuite, is a spacious bathroom with enclosed shower over a bath base, a large mirror with lights, and vanity with a good deep basin.

The kitchen would do a home unit proud so cooking and washing up will be anything but a chore. There’s a Dometic upright fridge/freezer, microwave, four-burner gas stove/griller/oven and a stainless steel sink all close to hand.

The forward lounge area boats seating aplenty – a three-seater lounge that converts to a double bed plus two arm chairs (one is leather). Both have accompanying tables for either nibbles or full candlelit dinner, or you can sit back and watch the NEC television.

Above the ‘not so squeezy’ driving cab is a slide-out single bed, bringing the accommodation capacity to five.

Power needs, meanwhile, are accommodated by a generator, solar panel and 12/240-volt inverter. Other features include an awning, external shower and ladder leading to the roof rack.

There are many happy miles of motoring to be done in this robust and reliable Winnebago. You can stay for longer too, as the fuel, grey and black water tanks are all high capacity.

Used Winnebago motor homes are an excellent way to start seeing Australia. If you’re serious about escaping, please call us now, drop us an email or stop in and say high.
